Muzzle Loaders Association of Great Britain

The MLAGB was formed in 1952
and is the Governing Body for muzzle loading within the UK.
Its objectives are to encourage an interest in muzzle loading firearms;
to promote, regulate and safeguard their use;
and to preserve their freedom of collection.

Individual Single Shot Pistol/Revolver Postal League
Entry form for the Spring/Summer League is now available. Note that the closing date for entries is 14 February 2012.


MLAGB Annual General Meeting
The 2012 Annual General Meeting of the Muzzle Loaders Association of Great Britain will be held at the Associations Bisley Club House, the Exhibition Hut, Surrey, on Saturday 19 May.


The Spring Arms Fair will be held at the MLAGB's Bisley Club House, the Exhibition Hut, Surrey, on Saturday 10 March.


MLAGB Council of Management Meeting
The next Council of Management meeting will be on Saturday 11 February. It will be held at the offices of Prime Chartered Accountants (5 Argosy Court, Sinclair Way, Whitley Business Park, Coventry, CV3 4GA).

Many members are collectors of antique arms and accessories and the MLAGB is proud of the part it plays in encouraging the preservation, study and research of our colourful and historic past. Specialised knowledge is widely available to newcomers and authoritative articles in our journals are appreciated worldwide.


Shooting
Today many shooters enjoy the great diversity of muzzle loading be it as a sporting or DTL clay pigeon shoot, informal target practice on the local range or precision target competition. The sport has grown out of all proportion to its humble beginnings to one of enormous participation worldwide.
