MLAGB News & Information 2011

Margaret Holbrook had asked that those that wished to make donations in memory of her late husband, Rex, should do so to Worcestershire Acute Hospital Critical Care Charitable Fund. Feedback now received is that the contributions to the fund are very much appreciated. The Fund managers wish to pass on their sincere thanks for the generosity and support of all those who contibuted.

There will be an MLAGB Council of Management meeting at Wedgnock on Saturday 5th November at 11.00am.

The MLAGB Arms Fair will be held at the Association's Bisley Club House, the Exhibition Hut, on 12 November.

Rex Holbrook's Funeral
On behalf of myself and my family, I would like to thank all the members of the MLAGB who took the time and trouble (so many driving a long way) to attend my husband Rex's funeral and giving him a 'Guard of Honour'. I know he saw you all, so resplendent in your 'No 1s'. We are very grateful to you all.

The MLAGB hosted the 8th MLAIC Long Range World Championships at Bisley, 11-17 September 2011. Full results plus a short report and link to a photograph gallery and historical records are available.

There will be a Council of Management Meeting on Saturday the 30th July at the Bisley Clubhouse starting at 11.30am.

Entente Cordiale 2011
This year it is the turn of the MLAGB to host the Entente Cordiale Rifle Match. It will take place on the afternoon of Friday 20th May on Short Siberia range at Bisley. This international team match between Great Britain and France was established in 1963 and with just a few exceptions has been held annually since then. Teams of six compete with military rifles at 100m.

The Pedersoli Challenge will be held at the MLAGBs Wedgnock Range complex near Warwick on 2/3 July. Sponsored by Davide Pedersoli & C. and their UK distributors Henry Krank & Co. Ltd. this open event offers great prizes. Open to non-MLAGB members. Entry Forms: Pistol - Musket & Rifle.

MLAGB Council of Management Meeting - UPDATED
The next Council of Management meeting will be on Saturday 19 February 2011. It will be held at the offices of Prime Chartered Accountants (5 Argosy Court, Sinclair Way, Whitley Business Park, Coventry, CV3 4GA), commencing at 11:00am

MLAGB Annual General Meeting
The 2011 Annual General Meeting of the Muzzle Loaders Association of Great Britain will be held at the Associations range complex at Wedgnock, Warwick, on Saturday 14 May.
