The Pedersoli Challenge

Once again the MLAGB is indebted to both Davide Pedersoli and Company and Viking Arms Limited for sponsoring this annual open international match. What could be better than two days shooting in glorious sunshine at a spacious range in the heart of England, competing for desirable and valuable prizes?

Busy throughout the weekend of 15/16 July, the MLAGB's Wedgnock range complex is admirably suited to holding open competitions. Pistol, musket and rifle shooters enjoy a spacious environment and relaxed shooting, being able to select details times to suit their preference. Despite the relaxed atmosphere, and perhaps due to many of the national squad being present for a last match prior to their departure to France for the World Championships, there was some outstanding shooting. Two special aggregate matches were held for the prizes and the winners were:

• A Pedersoli Kentucky Rifle in .45 calibre awarded for the aggregate of any 50m offhand score plus 100m prone military rifle was presented to David Minshall
• A Pedersoli Le Page Pistol awarded for the aggregate of reproduction percussion pistol and percussion revolver was presented to Nick Harvey
