MLAGB's own range facility at Wedgnock, Warwick, comprises three ranges,
all with covered firing points:
Range 'A' - 100 metres. 50 firing points
Most black powder rifles (muzzle loading and breech loading), muskets, pistols, gallery rifles and .22 rifles can be used. The range is open to all shooters on Saturdays and Sundays and to season holders during the week.
Range opening hours are:
09.00 hours - 18.00 hours for .22 rimfire & airguns
The ranges are closed on Good Friday, Bank Holiday Mondays & 1st and 2nd Saturdays in the Winter (1 November-31 March).
Members of the MLAGB and Wedgnock R&P Club are entitled to reduced range fees, as too are clubs making a block booking. For further details please contact the Range Warden:
Directions to Wedgnock
From the nearby M40 motorway: Leave M40 at Junction 15 and take A46N. Leave A46N at first exit, which leads to a roundabout above A46N. Take third exit signposted to Warwick. At next roundabout turn left into Wedgnock Lane. Drive along Wedgnock Lane for about a third of a mile and turn into the Private Road on the left hand side of the road opposite Volvo Truck Factory. Proceed down the private road for about half a mile and take right hand turning signposted to the range. At the and of the lane take centre gateway and follow track around to the right which leads into the range.
Wedgnock Air Rifle & Pistol Club
Shooters who use air rifles and pistols in the Warwick area may be pleased to learn that the Wedgnock Air Rifle & Pistol Club operates from the Association's Ranges at Wedgnock. As well as shooting at the ranges at the weekend, the club has regular evening pistol matches in the pavilion and competes in a number of inter-club leagues. New faces would be made very welcome. Field Air Range At Wedgnock
A field air rifle and pistol layout is situated in the woodland area adjacent to the 50 metre range. A number of varied stands are provided (currently twelve) with provision to extend this cover over the adjoining 8 acres of meadow land as demands require.
